Doutzen Kroes by Terry Richardson for Vogue Russia

I've always thought Doutzen was the sexiest model. There's just something in her eyes and face that screams sex but in this photo shoot I don't even see her as an attractive woman.

I've never been a fan of Terry Richardson work, he is famous for this type of photography but to me it looks as though anyone could have taken these pictures.

Dotzen just looks boyish, her skin is so vivid that you could see her imperfections and comparing her in these pics and the Blumarine campaign is just a totally different person.

She has a toned body and everything but try making a picture of one of your friends under a shower in a bikini with a flash and you'll get the same effect.
I just don't like the pictorial at all! And the swimsuits don't do anything for her body.

Giorgio Armani for Alicia Keys

Once again Armani teemed up with Alicia Keys to design a custom made wardrobe for her European tour The Element of Freedom (last time he dressed her from head-to-toe for her As I Am 2008 tour.)

This time Alicia will be rocking 4 new looks designed by King Giorgio,
A sparkling crocodile-printed military jacket with silk leggings
A one shoulder silk black tom with embroidery and crystals paired with black leggings
A one shoulder dark gray chiffon gown
And a Little Black Dress with strong shoulders and ruffles

All the creations will be enriched with Swarovski crystals.
Her tour is almost over and I guess the baby news arrived at just the right time.

40th Anniversary of Roberto Cavalli

To celebrate the 40Th anniversary of his label, Roberto Cavalli did an exclusive interview with Harper's Bazaar accompanied by a photo shoot with his wife, his son, circus clowns,a lion and a model.Just an ordinary day in Cavalli's life.
He talks about the beginning of his carrier, the fashion industry and copying, the support of his wife, his leopard signature print and... masturbating.

Here are some of the highlights from the interview:

On what he wishes he knew when he started building his label:

"I know many things. Forty years ago, I expected all the world. I was very enthusiastic, but I didn't understand that you have to follow the system. The big fish run the show." But now you're a big fish. "I'm a middle fish, but there are small fish that are poisonous."

About copying his signature leopard print:

"In the beginning, when people copied me I was happy." But now, "I can understand when H&M or Zara copies me, but I hate it when big designers copy me. You have a big name, you should never copy me."

About his love for fashion and beautiful women:

Of course I think about a beautiful woman to dress, because that's my way," he says with a shrug. Is there a difference? "Yes," he says. "I don't masturbate thinking about fashion."

The pictures were shot by Patrick Demarchelier.
You remember the scene from "The Devil wears Prada" when Meryl Streep says to Anne Hathaway "Get me Patrick"? Well, that's THE Patrick.

Cannes Film Festival 2010

So the film festival is over and we're still talking about the fashion from the red carpet.

Except Robin Hood I have no idea what other movie premiered at Cannes but I was more then excited to see the fashion on the red carpet! And boy was it an amazing sight.

We've see some daring outfits as usual, some wedding gowns (can't do without them) and some people who seemed to be there just for the paparazzi, but hey, if Paris Hilton wanted to show of a beautiful gown why not give her that opportunity?

So, even thought I had no idea what Kate Beckhinsale was doing in Cannes, as i checked IMDB she doesn't have a movie coming out (but i read she was a jury member), I still have to say she was number 1 on my best dress list.

She wore everyone, from Balmain, Ninna Ricci, Gianfranco Ferre', Christian Dior, Marchesa and Armani Prive and she looked absolutely gorgeous as always.

In Marchesa

In Armani Prive

In Temperley London

In Nina Ricci

Kate Beckinsale in Balmain

Jennifer Lopez's Roberto Cavalli ball gown was one of the most beautiful gowns of the festival but her hair and make-up were just not right.

Cheryl Cole in Versace... now that's a vision in white. Her hair was so beautiful yet casual and somehow she managed to pull of a good girl look in a too revealing dress.

Oh and the dress I would definitely love to have in my closet is Evangeline Lilly's Emilio Pucci. The combination of the two colors is just so right and so fabulous that it turned heads even though it wasn't as glamorous as the rest of the dresses we've seen. Just amazingly chic.
