Originally meant for wealthy customers or "more seasoned jet-setters going on cruises", these days, they are targeted at customers who have "finished buying their fall wardrobes and are looking ahead to vacations".
Lines like this make only the creme de la creme of the fashion industry such as Chanel, Gucci, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren.
Well, May 11th Chanel presented their new 2011 cruise collection in Saint Tropez, France which featured models such as Karolina Kurkowa, Crystal Renn, Georgia May Jagger, Natasha Poly and many others.
Before the collection was presented Karl Lagerfeld debued his new 17-minute movie titled "Remember Now" which features Abbey Lee Kershaw as a Jane Birkin lookalike, Freja Beha Erichsen channeling Mick Jagger, and Magdalena Frackowiak emulating Brigitte Bardot.
Lagerfeld who wrote, directed, and makes a cameo in the film, said: “When I do a film, I see the movie before I’ve made it. I don’t make scripts because it’s written in my head. I like short one-liners.”
Well that figures since there was a guy in the movie who introduced himself as Milos from Yugoslavia. I am from Serbia and I have to say I was offended and surprised by his ignorance, taking the fact that Yugoslavia doesn't exist since 2003!
But whatever, some people never learn.
Here is the trailer of the movie which can be seen on YouTube:
