Emmys 2010

As the Emmys passed all the fashionistas are talking about the dresses we've seen at the event. Here is my list of the ones who made the cut.

Heidi Klum in Marchesa

Heidi Klum went for a short Marchesa dress, Christian Louboutin stilettos and that gorgeous Lorraine Schwartz necklace. Even though an LBD was a risk at a glamourous event such as The Emmys, Heidi just can't seem to miss.

January Jones in Atelier Versace
Even though January got some mixed reviews about her look, I LOVED IT! I'm glad she went for the loose and natural hair and subtle make-up because it's all about the dress! This is my favorite look of the night. Just beautiful.

Kelly Osbourne in Tony Ward Couture
Kelly looks so glamorous here, she's gone a long way since her punk era.

Sofia Vergara in Carolina Herrera
Even though this Carolina Herrera dress is beautiful I just don't like it on Sofia. The color suites her nicely but there's something about her that is too sexy and this dress looks cheap on her. She looks good but not great.

Kim Kardashian in Marchesa
Kim channels her inner Cleopatra in this dress and even though I like it I'm not so blown away with it. I think a loose hair do would have been a better choice.

Keri Russel in Vintage Jean Louis Scherrer Haute Couture
This look on Keri Russel looked so much better on TV than it does in this picture. She was a breath of fresh air amongs the other ladies who were trying so hard. I'm not a fan of this look.

Lea Michele in Oscar De La Renta
She's wearing Oscar De La Renta and she knows it. You just see the confidence bursting out of her and she owns it! You Go GIRL!

Naya Riviera in Simin
Naya should've taken advice from her co-star Lea on what to wear because this looks like a bad prom choice. Thank God for those Jimmy Choo's!

Toni Collete in Valentino
When I first saw this dress I liked it. But then I looked closer at the lower part of the dress and my mind just started wondering what that is! It looks like Toni Collete walked through a pile of mud on her way to the Emmys. The dress is just wrong.

Tina Fey in Oscar De La Renta
Boring. Everything she wears in boring. The dress is really interesting but she doesn't know how to wear it.

Jane Krakowski in Escada
WOW. I love love love this look! Don't ever fire your stylist honey.

Eva Longoria in Robert Rodriguez
I just got a flash-back to the Cannes film festival. Just in black.

Edie Falco in Bottega Veneta
I don't know if anyone would have looked as good in this plain black dress and Edie did. The dress looks so beautiful on her that I wish I could try it on now!

Claire Danes in Armani Prive'
This look is pure perfection.

Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera
In theory this should have been a great look on her but I feel there's something missing. She's pretty and the dress is beautiful but I'm not convinced. She looks like a child playing dress up. This dress was not made for her body type and she looks like a doll.

Kyra Sedgwick in Monique Lhullier
This color looks so good on her! If she had her hair up the look would have been more serious and it looks better like this. And her lips are the same color as the dress. Just beautiful!

Elle Mcpherson in Love Mag #4 Fall 2010 issue

How old is she again?! 47?
A beautiful Elle Mcpherson posed for the Fall 2010 issue of Love magazine looking better then ever.

Rachel Zoe "I DIE", Harper's Bazzar September 2010

Rachel Zoe is featured in the September issue of Harper's Bazzar in a rather interesting spread.

Long Time No Posts!

Hello everyone, once again!

I would like to apologize for not up-dating the site in a while but I was super busy with my very first fashion show!

As I've already mentioned in my bio, I WAS a fashion design student and I just recently graduated from a fashion university in Milan.
I returned to my hometown where I planed on spending this Summer, filling out a couple of job applications, try to make some money when I realized I had nothing to wear for the upcoming season!

I went to an italian fabric store and got myself a beautiful african-inspired jersey and I literally made a fantastic dress in 10 minutes! Ok, jersey is a fabric that is so easy to manipulate with but I then realized how much I really missed sewing and the whole process of making a garment that I decided to make a fashion show in 30 days!

Anyone who knows a thing or two about fashion knows that it must have been doomed from the start but, actually, if I may say so myself... it was excellent!

I always was daydreaming of what my first fashion show would be like, but somehow, I never had the courage to do something about it and just make it happen.

Maybe it was the fact that I was studying up until recently and I didn't want to rush into things. Or maybe I felt that I still needed to learn a lot, have more experience... After all I am 23 years old.
I have no idea, but I know that there were so many thing in my life that didn't allow me to make that move.

And then, in one second, in some ordinary day just as any other, the idea followed by a strong will just poped into my head and stayed there.

It was a risk I can tell you.

I had to organize everything! From the event, to the music, the location, to the models and still I had to make at least 15 dresses.

I didn't want anyone's help.

Now that was a challenge.

I knew that I may have bitten off more then I could ever chew, but I wanted to be involved in the process 100%. Because, at the end of the day, when the curtains drop it would be my name on the line and if it were destined to fail, at least I would be the one responsible.

But it didn't fail and now I'm working on expanding my brand. And I stand here testifying that anything is possible.
If I hadn't made that risk of making me happy in one month and doing almost the impossible, what every designer is scared of I would be living a big lie, doing nothing productive and not thinking about the future.

I've learned so much from this experience, I've realized who my true friends are and who loves me for me. I'm more satisfied with my life and more happier cause I wake up in the morning with a purpose! It's the best feeling in the world.

I have grown, and I know that I am the owner of my life.

I say this to everyone reading this. If you know what you want in life, go for it! The only thing that's stopping you is yourself! If you don't try to change your life, no one else will.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!

Love, Tamara.

XOXO :)))
