Marchesa Spring/Summer 2011

When it comes to designing a couture dress for any occasion Marchesa is the number 1 in the business and that's why we always see at least one Marchesa gown on the red carpet.

The one thing I will never understand is who the hell decided that fashion is not art? I could not imagine anyone who would be left indifferent after this new collection by Marchesa or any other Marchesa gown for that matter.

There is so much thought and detail put into executing every dress that it makes them more than just clothes. It makes them pure masterpieces and works of art.

Front Row at Chanel

When I saw Karl Lagerfeld walking with this beautiful middle aged woman at the Chanel fashion show in Paris I was confused cause I didn't know who she was. (I was born in 1987).

So I googled her and as it turnes out Mr. Karl had a fist fool of muses over the years and it all started with this stunning woman.

Her name is Ines de la Fressange and is of French and Argentine origin. She was a world famous model of the 80s and a well known muse for the Chanel house and a great friend of Karl Lagerferld.

However, the two had a big feud in 1989 when Ines decided to lend her likeness to the bust of Marrianne and thats when the two parted ways.

It turns out Lagerfeld didn't have much of an opinion about the statue of Marrianne saying that Marianne was the embodiment of "everything that is boring, bourgeois, and provincial" and that he would not dress up historic monuments.

After a 20 year feud the two decided to make peace and walked together at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show in Paris looking quite happy together.
Karl added that Ines is "beyond stunning" ,and at the age of 53 I agree!
Of course Baptiste was there too.
